Jakarta, July 30, 2024 - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir emphasized the importance of human resource transformation for the success of SOE transformation. Therefore, continuous improvement in the quality and professionalism of SOE personnel must be carried out to create good, resilient, and globally competitive leaders.
This was conveyed by the Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir when he inaugurated the Nawasena Mandiri Corporate University Building. This building will later be designated as a training and development center with an emphasis on environmental, technological, and cultural awareness, which can be utilized by all SOEs.
"With the presence of the Nawasena Building, I hope this can be the beginning of how we must prioritize the development of Indonesian people as a civilization and it must become the foundation for SOE talent. The mindset that needs to be built is that they are not inferior to other nations. This is what I want from SOEs with Nawasena; we must become the pillars of the national economy," he stated.
Erick added that with proper preparation of human resources, he is confident that Indonesia's vast potential and wealth can be maximized for the nation's progress.
He revealed that the name Nawasena was deliberately chosen, meaning "Kawah Candradimuka" (a place to forge, shape, and produce superior, resilient, and quality leaders to achieve a bright, accomplished, and glorious future).
"In accordance with its philosophy, I hope that the Nawasena Mandiri Corporate University Building can contribute to producing SOE personnel who can compete on the global stage, while continuing to grow, develop, and contribute to Indonesia's progress," he continued.

"The existence of the Nawasena Mandiri Corporate University Building also maintains more than 50% of the green area in the Mandiri Wijayakusuma Area to provide a comfortable and shady learning environment," said Darmawan Junaidi.
The second aspect is culture, with cultural touches represented by batik and wayang figures with the philosophy of resilient learners. Third, presenting technology and digital-based learning infrastructure that supports collaboration and innovation.
"The hope is that these three elements can encourage continuous, structured, and broader leadership development within SOEs," added Darmawan Junaidi.
