Jakarta - JULY 2, 2024. Bank Mandiri became the national bank that received the most awards at the FinanceAsia event on June 27, 2024, in Hong Kong. FinanceAsia is a Hong Kong-based publication with a long-standing reputation for covering financial markets and capital markets in the Asia Pacific.
As the bank with the largest assets in Indonesia, Bank Mandiri has proven its achievements by winning awards in two categories at the FinanceAsia Awards 2024 and Asia’s Best Company 2024. Remarkably, Bank Mandiri managed to secure a total of 12 awards simultaneously.
At the FinanceAsia Awards 2024, Bank Mandiri won awards for Best Bank, Best Sustainable Bank, Biggest ESG Impacts Bank, Best Corporate Bank - Large Corp & MNCs, and Most Innovative Technology.
Meanwhile, at Asia’s Best Company 2024, Bank Mandiri received the gold category (Gold) awards for Most Committed to DEI and Best CFO. Additionally, in the silver category (Silver), Bank Mandiri was named Best Managed Company, Best Investor Relations, and Best Large Company. In the bronze category (Bronze), Bank Mandiri received awards for Best CEO and Most Committed to ESG.
Bank Mandiri's Deputy CEO, Alexandra Askandar, said that these awards were achieved due to Bank Mandiri's consistent performance both financially and in terms of sustainability. Moreover, this is also the result of continuous digital innovation in banking services, both through Livin’ by Mandiri for retail customers and Kopra by Mandiri for the wholesale segment.
“This achievement will continue to motivate us to improve the company's performance and provide a positive impact on the environment, society, and the national economy. The FinanceAsia Awards are judged based on the company's response to questions regarding digital innovation, sustainability initiatives, and other company performance, while Asia’s Best Company is assessed based on surveys of investors. Bank Mandiri competed with other companies in Southeast Asia such as from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
As of June 2024, besides the FinanceAsia awards, Bank Mandiri has also received national and international awards including Best Bank in Digital Solution and The Best Domestic Bank in Indonesia by Asiamoney, The Best Green Bank in 2023 and The Best CEO in Digital Banking Innovation from CNBC Indonesia, 1st Place Top Companies 2024 in Indonesia by LinkedIn Top Companies 2024, No. 1 SOE Bank from Forbes Global 2000, The Most Integrated ESG Report, and many other awards.
